    Siyuan Tang Professor

    BIO

    Dr. Tang is a currently professor of Ningxia Medical University. He has been awarded the second prize of World top 2% scientists, the Natural Science Award of Hunan Province one time, the third prize of Hunan medical science and Technology Award 2 times, the first prize of “Excellent academic paper” held by Hunan Physiological Science Association 2 times.

    Dr. Tang serves in several national academic and professional organizations. He is Director of the Chinese Association for Physiological Sciences, Vice President of the Nursing Rescue Chapter of the China Association for Disaster and Emergency Rescue Medicine, and committee member of the 26th CAN (Chinese Nursing Association) council. He also serves as Director of the Hunan Nursing Education Association, Vice President of the Hunan Health Management Association, member of Nursing Management Chapter of Hunan Hospital Association (HHA), Vice Director of Clinical Care Management Chapter of HHA, Vice Director of Psychological Rehabilitation Management Chapter of HHA.

    Dr. Tang’s research focuses on Prevention of Chronic Diseases in Community. He has been committed to developing ER-α36 mediates the bone-sparing effect of icaritin programs to identify ER-a36as a target of icaritin for regulating bone metabolism, then, in favour of screening developing newER-a36-binding compounds for and treating postmenopausal osteoporosis in future. Dr. Tang has published more than 150 academic papers, delivered numerous presentations at national and international conferences, and led 16 independent research projects funded by domestic and international agencies. He serves on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Nursing Sciences, Journal of Chinese Modern Nursing. His course, Community Nursing, Management and Nursing Care of Patients with Chronic Diseases in the Community, have been recognized as National-level Excellent Course and are featured online as national model teaching resources. He is also an experienced academic mentor, having supervised 2 postdoctoral fellows, 13 Ph.D. students, and 38 master’s students.
