One faculty member and three postgraduate students from our school participated in a two-week Summer International Exchange Program organized by the School of Nursing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) from July 20 to July 31, 2026. The program brought together more than 70 nursing faculty members and students from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Germany, Japan, Thailand and other regions, providing a valuable platform for international academic and cultural exchange.
The program featured academic lectures, simulation-based learning and field visits. Topics included outcome-based nursing education, STEM development in nursing, nursing leadership, and the application of artificial intelligence in clinical nursing. Participants also visited PolyU’s high-fidelity simulation laboratories and virtual hospital, as well as elderly care facilities, ambulance stations and healthcare institutions, gaining deeper insights into nursing education, elderly care and emergency services in Hong Kong.
Our delegation also achieved outstanding results in the program activities. The international team involving our faculty and students won first place in both the team treasure hunt and final presentation competitions, demonstrating strong professional competence and teamwork. The program broadened participants’ international perspectives, strengthened cross-cultural communication skills, and further promoted academic exchanges and the international development of nursing education at our school.
