One of our faculty and four students participated in the Summer Exchange Program organized by the School of Nursing at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) from July 6 to July 17, 2026. The program attracted over 60 participants from China, Ireland, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.
The program included academic lectures, field visits, and thematic seminars. Lectures covered community assessment, mindfulness, traditional Chinese medicine, and virtual simulation. Field visits, including an “Ageing Journey”tour, community elderly care institutions, and home visits to seniors, offered insights into Hong Kong’s distinctive healthcare and elderly care systems.In the seminar on “Promoting Community Health and Well-being”,participants from different countries worked in cross-cultural teams, used the “windshield survey”method to collect data on community health and proposed health promotion interventions based on their findings. Cross-cultural discussions provided insights into regional differences in healthcare systems, service models, and health concepts.
This exchange program has further consolidated the partnership between our school and HKU, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in shared teaching resources and joint scientific research.
