Our school launched its psychological counseling station, naming it the Garden of the Heart’s Whisper in 2014. It operates under the guidance of the university’s Mental Health Education and Counseling Center, with three departments: counseling, information, and publicity.
The station embodies the service philosophy of “Nurturing Minds, Letting Sunshine into Hearts”, and it is dedicated to providing psychological counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services for all students. The station collaborates with psychological counseling center of the university to monitor mental health of students, conducts group counseling for freshmen to ease their transition, and organizes activities to promote the well-being of students and faculty.
The station is staffed by a team of 16 peer psychological counselors, including seven certified National Psychological Social Workers. We have established a mental health support system that connects the dormitory, class, school, and university levels. It runs programs like peer support, group counseling, and freshmen assessments. These initiatives aim to enhance students'self-awareness and promote psychological well-being across the campus.
