Yingxue Mei is currently serves as a master’s supervisor at Ningxia Medical University. She has received multiple honors, including the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Science and Technology Progress Award, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Science and Technology Award, the Ningxia Nursing Association Award for Nursing Science and Technology, and the Ningxia Nursing Science and Technology Award. She is a member of the Nursing Group of the Orthopaedics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, and the Expert Panel of the Ningxia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Database. Prof. Mei's research focuses on perioperative nursing for major orthopedic surgeries—such as total knee arthroplasty, total hip arthroplasty, and hip fracture surgery), with a particular focus on the prevention of venous thromboembolism, and has been committed to developing research programs on standardized perioperative prevention protocols and standard operating procedures for major orthopedic surgeries to improve the quality of perioperative nursing care for these patients. Prof. Mei has published more than 40 academic papers, presented at over 20 domestic and international academic conferences, and independently undertaken five research projects funded by various funding sources. Prof.Mei been an editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Nursing Education and a reviewer for the Ningxia Medical Journal. She maintains close research collaborations with Zhejiang University and Tongxin County People’s Hospital.
