Xi Zhang is currently a Full Professor at Ningxia Medical University. She has been awarded a 3rd place in Ningxia Medical association technology award in 2025 and Ningxia Medical University Nursery college lecture competition award in 2023, 2nd place in Ningxia Nursery association technology award in 2022, and Ningxia Medical University General Hospital Outstanding Nursing Talent in 2020. She is a member of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association Oncology Nursing Committee, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association Palliative Care Committee, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association Breast Cancer Integrated Care Committee, Chinese Nursing Association Oncology Nursing Professional Committee, Ningxia Nursing Association Oncology Nursing Professional Committee and Ningxia Anti-Cancer Association Oncology Nursing Professional Committee. She has long been engaged in research post-surgery management and novel discharge plan in breast cancer patients, and has been committed to developing novel symptom management among patients with tumour or cancer treatment. Professor ZHANG has published more than 55 academic papers and spoken at more than 10 academic conferences, and has independently undertaken 4 research projects funded by Ningxia Natural Science Fund, Ningxia Critical Research Fund, and Ningxia Health Commission project. She won more than 10 excellent paper awards at various levels in Ningxia; received 2 awards for scientific achievements from the Ningxia Medical Association and the Ningxia Nursing Association; served as the chief editor for one published monograph and contributed to five published monographs; granted 3 national utility model patents and software copyrights.

My research mainly focus on self-rehabilitation management for breast cancer patients, focusing on the mechanisms and management of symptoms and symptom clusters, supportive care management, and follow-up management. At the same time, I am dedicated to enhancing the clinical practice of self-rehabilitation management for breast cancer patients by improving the capabilities of oncology nursing staff, which includes standardized communication and nursing training for oncology nurses, as well as specialized health education in oncology.
