Our school had the honor of hosting professor Michael V. Vitiello and professor Mary A. Baroni of the University of Washington on June 26, 2025.
At the begin of appointment ceremony, M.S. Deng Yanfang delivered a welcome address to professor Vitiello and professor Baroni. Following this, our school presented adjunct professor certificates to them.
Professor Vitiello delivered a lecture titled “The Impacts of Chronic Insomnia,” in which he elaborated on the core role, long-term efficacy, and benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Professor Baroni delivered a lecture titled “Nursing education in the U.S. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, in which she reviewed the evolution of nursing education in the United States, outlining key milestones and the significance of advanced practice roles.
At the conclusion of the event, Professor Liu Minhui emphasized that their visit established an international platform for academic dialogue and provided faculty and students with exposure to cutting-edge advancements in nursing.
