The Zhongshannan Community Health Service Center opened in December 2017 as an outreach arm of Yinchuan First People’s Hospital; it delivers primary care, rehabilitation, prevention and teaching. The center is fully equipped with modern diagnostic labs and imaging suites, and it runs on an advanced management model that streamlines every stage of care. It houses eight core units: general Practice, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Clinic, Public Health, Stomatology, Chinese and Western Pharmacy, Emergency Room, and Nursing Treatment Room. All operate under fully China’s Essential Medicine System. The center runs a green-channel referral system and hosts “Internet + Healthcare” services, including remote consults, imaging and retinal screening. So patients can stay close to home for tests and still receive expert diagnoses from tertiary specialists. Since 2018, it has served as a residency training base for both General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University and Yinchuan First People’s Hospital. It has been served as a practice base for the Nursing School of Ningxia Medical University since June 2022.
