Program Description
Nursing is an applied discipline grounded in both natural sciences and humanities. It focuses on studying human responses to actual or potential health problems across the lifespan. The goal of nursing science is to develop and apply theories, knowledge, and techniques to promote health, prevent illness, alleviate suffering, and restore well-being.
Our program is supported by three top-tier hospitals as training bases, fostering university-hospital collaboration. We are equipped with a regional Experimental Teaching Center, a Center for Aging Research & Excellence, specializing in smart technology for geriatric nursing and an Interdisciplinary Nursing Lab, Our program's areas of clinical specialization include Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Nursing Management, and Specialized Fields of Nursing.
Program Aims
1.Demonstrate a high level of professional ethics, and academic integrity.
2.Master advanced nursing theories and techniques in their specialty, and apply evidence-based practice and critical thinking to solve complex clinical problems.
3.Possess proficiency in a foreign language, with the ability to critically engage with international literature and produce high-quality academic writing.
4.Develop excellent communication, presentation, and academic exchange skills.
5.Maintain the physical and mental health required for clinical practice.
6. Prepare for roles in clinical nursing, education, research, and management within healthcare institutions.

Training Model
A Dual-Supervisor System:
A Primary Supervisor is a faculty of NXMU for research traning, and a Co-supervisor who is a senior clinical nurse for clinic practical training.
An integrated approach that combines theoretical learning, clinical rotation, and supervisor guidance, with an emphasis on clinical practice.

Course Assessment
Course assessment is designed to evaluate both knowledge and skills. Methods vary by course and may include written or computer-based exams, essays, practical and experimental work, reports, and comprehensive evaluations.
Compulsory Training Components (9 Credits)
1. Academic Integrity & Professionalism (1credit):
Attend required lectures and workshops.
2.Professional Practice & Assessment (4credits):
A structured 22-month clinical training program:
a) Rotation Practice (9 months): Rotate through 3 core departments (e.g., Internal Med, Surgery).
b) Specialist Practice (7 months): Deepen expertise in a chosen specialty, including 1 month in a nursing clinic.
c)Research Practice (6 months): Collect data for your thesis in a clinical setting.
3.Research & Teaching, and Academic Activities (2 credits):
a) Learn clinical research methods.
b) Complete a 2-hour clinical teaching session
c) Participate in academic conferences and seminars
Dissertation Process
1.Literature Review & Topic Selection:Conduct a comprehensive review and define your research topic.
2.Proposal Defense (By the end of the 3rd Semester ):Present and defend your research plan.
3.Mid-term Assessment (By the end of the 4th Semester ):A comprehensive evaluation of your progress.
4.Research Record Keeping (Ongoing):Maintain a detailed and verified research log.
5.Thesis Writing & Defense:Complete and defend your master's thesis.
