Program Description
Nursing is an applied discipline grounded in both natural sciences and humanities. It focuses on studying human responses to actual or potential health problems across the lifespan. The goal of nursing science is to develop and apply theories, knowledge, and techniques to promote health, prevent illness, alleviate suffering, and restore well-being.
Supporting this mission, our School houses several key platforms, including an a provincially recognized Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, a Center for Aging Research & Excellence, specializing in smart technology for geriatric nursing,, and an Interdisciplinary Nursing Laboratory. Our research is strategically focused on the priority areas of Adult and Geriatric Nursing, Mental and Psychological Health, Health and Chronic Disease Management, and Experimental Nursing.
Program Aims
1.Demonstrate a high level of professional ethics, and academic integrity.
2.Master foundational theories in natural sciences, humanities, and nursing science, and possess advanced knowledge in their specific research area.
3.Possess proficiency in a foreign language, with the ability to critically engage with international literature and produce high-quality academic writing.
4.Develop excellent communication, presentation, and academic exchange skills.
5.Maintain the physical and mental health required for a career in research and healthcare.
6. Prepare for careers in hospitals, educational institutions, and health agencies, or to pursue doctoral studies.

Course Assessment
Course assessment is designed to evaluate both knowledge and skills. Methods vary by course and may include written or computer-based exams, essays, practical and experimental work, reports, and comprehensive evaluations.
Compulsory Training Components (8 Credits)
1. Academic Integrity Education (1 credit): Attend required lectures and workshops.
2.Teaching & Practice (2 credits):
Teaching (1 credit): Assist in teaching for at least 2 instruction hours.
Nursing Practice (1 credit):Complete 6 months of practical training (4 clinical + 2 community).
3.Academic Activities (3 credits): Participate in and present at academic conferences.
4.Research Proposal Writing (2 credits): Develop and write a research proposal suitable for submission to a provincial/ministerial-level funding body.
Dissertation Process
1. Literature Review & Topic Formulation
2.Proposal Defense (By the end of the 3rd Semester): Present and defend your research plan.
3.Mid-term Assessment (By the end of the 4th Semester):A comprehensive evaluation of your progress.
4.Research Record Keeping (Ongoing):Maintain a detailed and verified research log.
