    To support its strategic growth, School of Nursing, Ningxia Medical University is launching a global search for high-level talents in 2025.

    I. Overview of the University and School

    Established in 1958, Ningxia Medical University is the sole higher medical education institution in Ningxia. The university employs over 7,800 faculty, staff, and medical personnel, including those from its affiliated hospitals. Among them, 1,305 are full-time teachers (including clinical instructors). The university boasts a strong body of graduate supervisors: 180 at the doctoral level and 1,151 at the master’s level. The university has a full-time student body of 13,179, spanning doctoral, master's, undergraduate, junior college, and international programs. The university is comprised of Yanhu and Shuangyi campuses, which covers a total area of 1,700 acres. It offers four disciplinary categories: medicine, science, management, and engineering, with 23 undergraduate programs. It boasts eight national first-class majors, five national characteristic majors, and two national experimental teaching demonstration centers, and has received four national teaching achievement awards.

    The School of Nursing at Ningxia Medical University is the only higher institution that offers nursing education, teaching, scientific research, and social services in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Guided by the motto of “Compassion, Rigor, Excellence, and Pragmatism”, the school is dedicated to becoming a nationally recognized, application-oriented research institution, rooted in Ningxia and serving Western China.

    Our school boasts a distinguished and well-structured faculty that integrates teaching, scientific research, and clinical practice. The school has six Ph.D supervisors and 44 Master’s supervisors. One of our faculty is the Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), a member of the Steering Committee for Guidance in Teaching in Higher Education Institutions. One faculty has received the National “Outstanding Science and Technology Worker” award, and several others have been recognized as high-level talents in Ningxia.

    Our school is equipped with abundant teaching resources and a high-quality research environment. It has established one provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration center. This well-equipped center covers an area of 5,252 square meters, with a total equipment value exceeding 20.6 million RMB. The center features five functional zones, including a Virtual-Reality Integrated Digital Simulation Teaching Center and intelligent OSCE stations. The center also houses various specialized laboratories, such as simulated intensive care units, digital operating rooms, and LDR integrated delivery suites, providing robust support for foundational and advanced clinical research. To advance interdisciplinary inquiry and tackle the grand challenges of healthy aging, the school has founded the Innovative Healthy Aging Research Center and the Interdisciplinary Nursing Laboratory. These two state-of-the-art hubs that unite scholars across fields and translate evidence into real-world solutions.

    Our research endeavors are both extensive and in-depth. It is characterized by four distinct academic pillars: Adult and Geriatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Health and Chronic Disease Management, and Experimental Nursing. To date, it has secured funding for 10 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and 3 National Social Science Fund of China projects, has been approved for 3 talent programs, and has won 7 Science and Technology Progress Awards. In the last five years, it has undertaken multi-tier 63 scientific research projects, published 11 monographs and over 160 peer-reviewed papers, including over 40 in SCI journals and 30 in core Chinese periodicals

    Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree.

    IV. Recruitment Requirements

    (I) Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

    1. Hold the nationality of the People’s Republic of China;

    3. Be 40 years of age or younger;

    4. Be in good physical and mental health.

    (II) Grounds for Disqualification

    1. Convicted of a crime and sentenced to criminal punishment.

    2. Legally designated as subject to joint disciplinary measures for dishonesty.

    3. Found guilty of serious disciplinary violations or misconduct.

    4. Previously recruited as a special-position teacher.

    5. Current full-time student (non-graduating in 2025).

    6. Active-duty military personnel.

    7. Serving a probationary period or unmet minimum service term.

    8. Other circumstances as prescribed by law.

    V. Recruitment Plan and Positions

    1. Faculty positions (engaged in teaching and research work);

    2. Applicants with backgrounds in clinical medicine, nursing, or other medical-related disciplines are eligible;

    3. Five positions in 2025.

    VII. Recruitment Process

    (I) Announcement Release

    The recruitment announcement is published on the official website of the School of Nursing, Ningxia Medical University (https://www.nxmu.edu.cn/nursing/ ) for public access.

    (II) Application

    1. Application Timeline: The position is open year-round.

    (III) Preliminary Qualification Review

    Based on the requirements of disciplinary development, the recruiting unit will review applicant qualifications, primarily based on the following materials:

    1. Proof of Academic Qualifications:

    For Chinese Degrees: Original & photocopied certificates, the MOE Online Verification Report, and the MOE Electronic Registration Form.

    For Foreign Degrees: Original & photocopied certificates, along with the certification report from the China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE).2. Original and photocopies of all previous professional technical qualification certificates;

    2. Documentation supporting your academic and professional achievements (such as research, publications, awards, and projects).

    (IV) Assessment and Evaluation

    1. Discipline Evaluation. Discipline experts assess the candidate’s research direction, caliber, and fit with our schools’ s priorities;

    2. School Evaluation. Our school assess the candidate’s educational background, teaching competence, interpersonal skills, and team compatibility;

    3. Expert Panel Review. A university-convened expert panel will evaluate the candidate’s teaching potential, research capabilities, personal development, and alignment with disciplinary needs to recommend appointments;

    4. University Approval. The final appointment is subject to official approval by the University.

    (V) Medical Examination and Background Check

    1. Medical Examination: The University will arrange a unified medical examination. Candidates are responsible for the fee. Failure to complete medical examination or to meet the health standards will result in disqualification.

    2. Background Check: A comprehensive assessment of the candidates’ political integrity, moral conduct, professional competence, and work performance will be conducted. Those who do not meet the employment criteria will be disqualified and duly notified. Only candidates who pass this check will proceed to the next stage.

    (VI) Public Announcement

    Qualified candidates are subject to a five-working-day public announcement. Verified reports will lead to revocation of employment eligibility. For unresolved reports, the offer will be suspended pending investigation, with a final decision made upon clarification.

    (VII) Onboarding Procedures

    Upon successful completion of the public announcement, the University will process employment formalities in accordance with established regulations, granting public institution staff status. New graduates are required to complete onboarding procedures within one month of receiving their graduation and degree certificates. Failure to provide these documents within one year will result in revocation of employment eligibility. Other candidates must complete onboarding within three months following the University’s final review. Failure to report for duty or sign the employment contract within 20 working days will lead to cancellation of employment eligibility.

    VIII. Other Provisions

    Provision of false information or impersonation will result in disqualification and legal accountability. All personnel issues are governed by relevant laws and policies. Unspecified matters are subject to the regulations of the University and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
