    Minhui Liu Professor

    Executive Dean

    BIO

    Dr. Liu is a currently professor of Ningxia Medical University. He has been awarded Fellow of American Academy of Nursing, the High-level Talent in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Youth Expert of Hundred-Talent Program of Hunan Province (the first nursing scholar being awarded), honored as Huffman Splane Emerging Nursing Scholar from the University of Toronto, and University of Washington Healthy Brain Research Network Scholar from the University of Washington Healthy Aging Scholar, etc. He is the consulting expert for the Asian Development Bank, the Youth Leader of Evidence-based Nursing Committee of Chinese Nurse Association, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), The Gerontological Society of America (GSA), American Public Health Association (APHA), and Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP).


    Dr. Liu has long been engaged in research on health promotion, evidence-based exercise and behavioral programs for older adults and has been committed to developing innovative care programs for the Chinese older adults, reducing disability and improving their quality of life. He has published more than 70 academic papers and spoken at more than 100 academic conferences at home and abroad. He has led over 20 research and educational reform projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Science Fund, Ningxia Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, and key provincial R&D programs, with a total funding exceeding 9 million RMB.


    Dr. Liu currently serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Geriatric Nursing (JCR Q1), Editorial Board Member of BMC Nursing and BMC Geriatrics (both JCR Q1), and reviewer for more than 10 international SCI journals, including International Journal of Nursing Studies and Journal of the American Medical Directors Association. He has also been invited to deliver academic lectures at leading universities and hospitals, including the University of Florida, Shandong University, Lanzhou University, and Henan Provincial People’s Hospital, and maintains active research collaborations with Johns Hopkins University, University of Washington (Seattle), and the University of Sydney.
