Ningxia Medical University International Students Residence Permit Regulations

Physical Examination

Students who apply for a residence permit should go to Ningxia International Health Care Center for physical examination within one week from the date of entry China. Examination results are valid for six months, expense should be paid by yourself; if the physical examination is unqualified, you are required to immediately leave China.

Apply for a Residence Permit

Students who come to our school to study for more than six months should apply for X visa before coming to China; study within one semester (including one semester) should apply for F, L visa;

All international students have to apply for "temporary residence certificate" within 24 hours after you arrived at our university. 

Students holding X visas should apply for "Residence Permit" within 30 days when come to China; students holding F visa can stay in China within the period prescribed, without obtaining residence permits.

For the convenience of new students, teachers will take students to go to Yinchuan Immigration Bureau to apply residence permit application. All the following materials should be taken.

1. "Visa and Residence Permit Application Form", signed by teacher and stick one 2-inch bareheaded photo;

2. Passport (shall be ordinary passport) and visa copy;

3. Temporary lodging registration forms;

4. Introduction letter with official stamp; 

5. "Admission Notice" of Ningxia Medical University;

6. Original "Visa Application Form for International Students", yellow pages (called JW201 table and JW202);

7. Students who is above 18 years old and who is the first time to apply for a residence permit application should provide "health certificate" issued by Ningxia International Travel Health Care Center;

8. One 2-inch bareheaded photo.

All the forms must be filled with black pen and can not be altered.

International students must leave before the residence permit expires, students who want to continue study must extend visa before expires;

If the content of residence permit has changed, the holder must go to Yinchuan Immigration Bureau within 10 days to make a change; otherwise, the public security organs will give you punishment in accordance with relevant regulations;

Residence Permit Extension

Students should check your own visa or residence permit regularly in order to avoid extended retention.

One month before the residence permit expires, students should take the following things to the office: 

1. "Visa and Residence Permit Application Form", signed by teacher and stick one 2-inch bareheaded photo;

2. Passport (shall be ordinary passport) and visa copy;

3. Temporary lodging registration forms;

4. Introduction letter with official stamp; 

5. One 2-inch bareheaded photo.

One week before residence permit expires, supervisor should lead all the students to Yinchuan Immigration Bureau to extend visa. If students miss the deadline, students have to pay the overdue fine of 500 yuan/day. The maximum fine is 5000 yuan. Extended and retention responsibility borne by students.
